Allow me to share a bit about myself. My name is Annie Natividad and I call Corpus Christi, Texas my home. I also lived in Mexico City for several years and became fluent in Spanish. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my Master’s in Science for Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University, and I am a Board-Certified Therapist. Through my studies, I discovered a passion for counseling and realized the positive impact it has on individuals.
My counseling career has led me on many fulfilling and inspiring paths. I began as a therapist for an Emergency Children’s Shelter for children 6 to 18 years of age. Life often leads us where we least expect it and I found myself with the amazing opportunity to take the role of Program Director for the shelter for several years.
I have experience counseling children, adolescents and adults who have experienced traumatic events and difficult life adjustments. My counseling approach is person centered while incorporating Cognitive Behavioral methods and Solution Focused strategies.
Anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, and depressed mood can have a big impact on your ability to reach your potential. Through counseling, I can help you manage stress by guiding you to adopt positive coping skills and mindfulness. I would be excited if you allowed me to be part of your voyage through life! There is unknown potential waiting to be discovered in all of us. I am here to help you tap into those strengths so that you can live your best life journey.
