Cat is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Texas. She previously worked as a Behavioral Health Specialist and Combat Medic in the active Army. She was proud to represent 4th Infantry Division, 1st Armored Division and 13th COSCOM as a soldier as well as the Equal Opportunity Representative for her unit. Her work experience is strongly focused on adult trauma and vulnerable populations. She works within the framework of client-centered therapy.
Cat earned a B.S. in Psychology as well as a Master of Social Work and Sociology degrees. She co-founded the first Student Veterans Organization at the University of Hawaii at Manoa with an active duty Army Ranger classmate. Cat has been a member of the international IQ society of Mensa for 30 years. She maintains an organic interest in the barriers to learning and socialization, particularly at the farther reaches of both ends of the spectrum.
Her life’s journey includes the challenges of a family member who suffers from severe mental illness. As such, she is particularly well-suited for clientele who suffer from mental illness, their families, and caregivers. Cat is married to a retired Army combat veteran who is a psychiatrist in San Antonio. They enjoy their cats and dogs as well as the wildlife at their doorstep.
