Christina Marshall is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Clinical Director of Mind Your Self Counseling. She specializes in trauma-informed care and offers over 15 years of experience working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families to resolve a wide array of life’s trials.
She earned her Bachelor in Social Work from Texas State University, and her Master in Social Work from the University of Texas-San Antonio. Treatment specialties include trauma recovery, depression and other mood disturbances, generalized and social anxiety, psychosis, stress management, self-esteem, substance dependency, personality disorders, crisis intervention, self-injury and suicide, as well as many other of the unique challenges life-transitions generate.
Utilizing an individualized, person-centered approach, she employs techniques from various evidence-based modalities in which she has obtained formal training including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. She believes in the strength of the human spirit to find hope where there once wasn’t, to overcome unyielding challenges, and to realize true potential and healing.
Christina is recognized as a Board-Approved Supervisor (LCSW-S) by the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners and can provide clinical supervision for LMSWs seeking their clinical licensure. She also works with graduate school interns to offer mentorship and supervision to bridge their classroom education with real-life application of helping-skills in the social work field.
