Dr. Reynolds has worked in the mental health field for approximately ten years. She obtained her Masters and Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. She began her career in the school counseling system providing counseling to children, adolescents, and their family members that were required to attend counseling by the school. Later she transitioned to inpatient mental health and assisted in a group, individual, couples, and family counseling for severely mentally ill, substance abuse, and military clients seeking treatment.
She has worked extensively with the military population, including providing couples and family counseling for clients seeking reintegration with their family after several deployments. She is a military brat and has experience in moving, adjusting, and learning a new environment. Her dissertation looked at military brats pre 9/11 and their relationships with family and others.
She is working on a certification in working with individuals, couples, and families seeking treatment of sexual abuse or trauma, in particular within the military population. Her background includes Play Therapy.
