Elizabeth has been in counseling for over a decade and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology where she specialized in working with individuals involved in the justice system. Over the course of her professional career, she has worked for the VT Department of Corrections, provided community resources for developmentally delayed and physically disabled clients, counseled adults and adolescents in inpatient psychiatric settings, provided group and individual therapy, and completed assessments to determine appropriate levels of care and treatment plans.
Elizabeth is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness for Clinical Practice. She also uses Reality Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy techniques in counseling. Elizabeth has extensive experiencing in assisting adult and adolescent clients who suffer from trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, and stress.
