Hello! I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California with a concentration in Children, Youth, and Families. I am currently a Licensed Master of Social Work in the state of Texas. Prior to becoming a full-time provider with Mind Yourself Counseling, I worked as a graduate intern with the company for over a year. I am passionate about advocacy and social change. This includes bringing empowerment and healing to individuals and families who have experienced change, trauma, or other difficult situations in their life. I recognize that not everyone responds in the same ways to therapy, and because of this I have gained extensive knowledge on different forms of treatment to accommodate the uniqueness of each client. These different forms of treatment include Motivational interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy. I believe in giving the client control over their choices and paths while providing empathy and guidance along the way. It is very important to me that I build strong therapeutic alliances with my clients. On a personal note, I enjoy reading, cooking, spending time with my family, and traveling on my time off. I look forward to meeting and working with you!
