Gina Torres is a compassionate and highly experienced Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and Certified School Counselor (CSC) with over 25 years of experience working with individuals and families. She is deeply committed to empowering clients to create meaningful change in their lives while fostering personal growth and self-discovery.
Gina has received extensive training in trauma-informed care and has worked with individuals dealing with a variety of challenges, including depression, anger management, anxiety, suicidal ideation/self-harm, and grief/loss. Her approach is rooted in empathy and unconditional positive regard, ensuring that clients feel understood, valued, and supported. Her practice is client-centered, focusing on fostering a safe and collaborative space. She integrates techniques from brief solution-focused counseling and cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) to address her clients’ unique needs. She firmly believes that all individuals have intrinsic worth and value, regardless of their circumstances or situations.
Currently, Gina is advancing her clinical expertise under the supervision of Dr. Carla Groves, DBH, MSW, MA, LCSW-S, a distinguished leader in mental health services and clinical supervision. This ongoing commitment to professional growth ensures that Gina remains at the forefront of effective therapeutic practices to best support her clients.
